Doula UK

Doula UK

I am very proud to be a member of Doula UK, Britain's largest doula network. Doula UK requires all it’s members to complete a recognised initial training course at the start of their doula journey. Once this is passed then the trainee comes under the care of an assessor/mentor who guides the trainee through their first few clients. Every year, each doula must show that they have continued their personal development by attending relevant courses or workshops. Doulas never complete their training, it is a continuing journey, but they become recognised after their assessor/mentor has followed them through four clients (meeting certain criteria) and a final interview.

Doula UK also requires is members to work according to the Code of Conduct and philosophy of the organization.

A hardship fund is available for clients who are unable to afford a doula without help.
